Your Jaguar journey

  • Project-based learning

    Learn by doing

Our partnerships across Indianapolis mean learning is more than just lecture at IUPUI. Here, you solve real-world problems as part of class. The work you do lives on and continues to make an impact long after you've left the classroom.

  • Service learning and civic engagement

Make an impact on your community

Get involved in the community while earning credit toward your degree. You solve real problems that affect real people—a skill you can use in any profession. You also connect with local leaders, broaden your experiences, and enhance your resume.

    Tell your story with ePortfolio

Whatever, wherever you're learning, you can showcase it in your ePortfolio. Reflect on your experience and think about how all the different parts of your college journey fit together as you build your ePortfolio. Then, use it to share your unique story share it with faculty, friends, employers, and the community.

  • Career development

    Internships

Internships are designed to help you develop the knowledge and skills you will need for professional jobs. Discover what you like and dislike about your current career choice or field of study. Most internships promoted through IUPUI are paid, and you can even earn academic credit in many programs!

  • Research

    Discovery in action

There’s nothing like the thrill of discovery, and IUPUI’s hands-on learning culture will put you in the center of the action. You’ll experience how fulfilling—and fun—it is when your research project reveals a new understanding that could change how people think and live.

Your final year

Capstone provides students in their final year with the opportunity to share their expertise and represent the cumulation of their time at IUPUI. Many capstone projects can involve working directly with local community partners to solve real-world challenges.
