Bringle and Hatcher Civic Engagement Poster Showcase

Welcome

We’re glad you are here! The annual Bringle & Hatcher Civic Engagement Poster Showcase is an exciting opportunity for faculty, staff, students, and community partners to share and celebrate their imaginative and collaborative community engaged work. Community engagement is boundary spanning work, bringing together campus and community partners to explore mutually beneficial collaborations, emerging research, scholarly practice, creative activity, and teaching that foster civic-minded values and a commitment towards social justice. You will find in this space a wide variety of activities and programming that demonstrates such evidence as deepening student learning, increasing scholarship and knowledge, and innovating instructional design and assessment.

Organization

The posters are organized into five categories below. Click on a poster title to navigate to that poster's page.

Viewing and Interacting with Posters Organization

Once navigated to your poster of choice, there are two options to magnify the image for reading:

Option 1:

  1. Click on the pop-out box on the top right corner of the poster. This will open a new, larger version of the poster.

  2. Click the magnifying glass at the bottom of the screen to enhance the poster further. The plus sign to the right of the magnifying glass will also enlarge the image.

Option 2

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the screen, hover your mouse over the poster, and click on the magnifying glass. The plus sign to the right of the magnifying glass will also enlarge the image.

Some posters have links and videos. Click directly on the link to interact further with the poster.

Discussion

You have the opportunity to converse with the poster presenter and others through the Disqus commenting system. Each poster's individual page has this embedded at the bottom of the page. You do not need a Disqus account or to sign in through another social media account to participate, although not signing into an account will require you to repeat the below process for every comment.

To participate without signing in:

  1. Type your comment

  2. Type your name in the box, "Sign up with Disqus"

  3. Check the box "I'd rather post as a guest"

  4. Type your email into the box (this will NOT sign you up for an account)

  5. Complete the security CAPTCHA
