Abnormal Osteocalcin Levels in the Ts65Dn Down Syndrome Mouse Model

Individuals with Down syndrome (DS) often have skeletal deficits, craniofacial deficits, cognitive impairment and endocrine abnormalities. Osteocalcin (OC), a marker for bone formation, is hypothesized to be linked to the skeletal deficits seen in DS. The goal of my research is to measure OC levels in serum and understand the role of OC in individuals with DS.
