Grand Park Fun Zones

Austin Anderson, Kai Biami, Brooklynn Joy, and Nelson Roetter

This group found that Grand Park attendees want to have other activities to do because they need to be engaged to enjoy their experience, but there is a lack of activities at Grand Park. We set out to solve this problem by asking: How might we enhance the experience of Grand Park so that downtime is something people of all ages look forward to? This group suggests a partnership between Grand Park and Play-Life Nation, an Indianapolis based company that rents outdoor games such as giant Connect 4 and extra-large Jenga. Across Grand Park, there would Play-Life Nation fun zones located in unused diamonds, fields, welcome center space. Attendees would pay for access to these zones and would be identified by wristbands. They can come and go as they please and play any of the games in any zone. Play-Life Nation workers would explain rules, supervise, and make sure equipment is being used properly.
