Increasing literacy about Indiana history to state, national, and international audiences
As an intern with the Indiana Statehouse Tour Office, I have the chance to give tours to upwards of about 250 people monthly, helping them gain knowledge about Indiana and its government. While giving tours to the diverse audiences that visit the Indiana Statehouse, my goal is to work against the assumption that Indiana's history is only about white, male citizens. I want it to be clear to the guests that they have the power to make a change, no matter their identity.
