Custom Silicone Electrodes from SLA Printed Molds for Long-Term In-Vivo Neural Modulation and Recording

Tyler Fears, Wyatt Highland

Creating and adapting a biocompatible and affordable electrode solution to modulating and recording neuro signals. To do this, microscale molds of electrodes have to be printed on a stereolithography 3D printer. These molds utilize a biocompatible silicone material. Biocompatibility means both working with the immune response in a good way and will match the stiffness of the nerve that the electrode interfaces with. A silicone electrode that has these qualities can give a future in long-term neural modulation research.
