Phalangeal Project

Dr. Deane's Lab is a primatology lab that focuses on interpreting fossils of primates using 3D models to understand how these primates would have lived and evolved. The project I am working on in this lab specifically deals with the bones of the fingers also known as phalanges to help gain insight into locomotion patterns of fossilized remains. My role in the lab includes collecting and organizing surface area of different parts of a proximal and intermediate primate phalanx using Geomagic 3D software.
