Hospital-Based Gun Violence Interventions

Gun violence is a devastating problem in Indianapolis, and is having adverse effects on individuals living in low-income areas, especially children in these areas. These children are not able to get to school safely, leading them to ultimately leave school and pursue other ways to survive, such as selling drugs which leads to more gun violence. Having a hospital based violence intervention program will help combat this violence by using members of the communities being affected, and have them give these children or other victims ways to solve problems without firearms.
