Gender in Africa and The African Diaspora (GAAD) International Conference

The GAAD International Conference has been held in many countries around the world. The 2023 GAAD International Conference will be held in the fall in Barbados. The corresponding journal to the conference is titled Journal of the Africana Gender Studies (JAGS). My key responsibilities will be assisting in logistics for the conference and journal article. Our website includes a submission portal to which, I’ll be able to accept article submissions from others and organize the journal. We’ll discuss the intersectionality between gender and race and what the future holds. I plan to collaborate with graduate students and senior scholar Dr. Obioma Nnaemeka, Ph.D. to plan and execute the journal and international conference.
