Indiana Avenue: History, Heritage, and Displacement
This project examines the culture and history of Indiana Avenue. It researches the stories behind African American businesses, restaurants, theatres, and nightclubs and their subsequent displacement due to the construction of the nearby university. This project explores the intersection of race and heritage and how the landscape was shaped by the development of the university.
