Is My Food Real?: Sustainable Urban Agriculture and the Real Food Challenge at IUPUI

As an intern with the IUPUI Office of Sustainability, the ability to select an impactful topic is always encouraged and can be exemplified through my role as the Sustainable Agriculture Analyst Intern. Although the internship position title is long, the primary goals of the internship are concise and support my passion of advancing sustainable urban agriculture through analyzing food purchasing data at IUPUI based on the Real Food Challenge and providing subsequent recommendations to bolster Real Food purchasing. The e-Portfolio will document the holistic analysis of food procurement at IUPUI as well as the importance of and resources for developing environmentally just food practices in the urban community.
