Client Engagement and Community Programs Internship Summary

During my experience, my duties were planning, organizing, and running our in-house pantry. Additionally, I would work with my supervisor at the Lawrence Township Trustee's office with taking intakes for our Inspire Program. I felt like my time at the Pando Building has made me a very important asset because I learned how non-profit organizations work by keeping up to date with donations to run the program and how to budget the funds to each department for everyone to equally be successful. After my experience here I would like to continue my career with helping people. My gratitude has grown since the work I see this program does for the public. I learned that helping the public can sometimes not go the way you plan it, but it’s the way you handle the situation that matters the most. This internship showed me that hard work and dedication make people’s lives much better, you just have to be that one person who wants to make a difference. I am going to carry this with me when pursuing my dream as a Health Service Manager.
